Weigh In: 4.5 lb. Gain

I failed to mention the reason for my "Come to Jesus" meeting. In two weeks I have managed to go from 175.5 back up to 180. Good job, Kee! Not.

Still smilin'.

  1. Sounds like me! But you recognize it and are going to change it. A year ago if I saw that gain I would be like well shoot that sucks! I haven't been eating any different i don't know why I am gaining...
But now I recognize my need for change and a desire to better myself. Thanks for always being honest on your blog!

  2. I have a hard time keeping my self worth and feelings of self confidence separate from what the scale numbers say. Your journey/focus/honesty and realness inspire and encourage me. So thank you for your blog!!

  3. Girl, don't beat yourself up about it. Just get back on that horse and ride it! (smile). You've come a long, long way and sometimes you get a curve ball. I'm still rootin' for ya (and I need to do myself a picture page). I stop short of saying we're counting on you, because no one should have to carry that load. Just keep on being good to yourself...for YOU, and thanks for letting us watch as you do!

  4. That's it. Walk down the penitent's aisle and nail that demon fat! :)

Actually, you are so beautiful, just take consolation in that. What a gorgeous face you got there. Just keep looking in the mirror and next week the scale will glow, too. D

  9. Well, the scale doesn't lie, does it? :( After your "come to Jesus meeting" I'm eager to see what next week brings.

Slow and steady wins the race. Weight loss takes persistance so keep on persisting! You CAN do it, I believe in you!

  10. Ugh! I hate when that happens! Uh-hmm. And it happened for me this month, too! Ate gluten. Gained 6 punds. Happens every time. EVERY TIME! Takes 7 to 10 days for the bloat and pounds to go away. EVERY TIME. Why do I keep being surprised? sigh.

So--I pretty much wiped out a whole summer of weight loss in the past two weeks.

Sigh. It's okay, Keelie. Maybe this is just the wake-up call we need. The Father will hold our hand and rescue us, but He will also remind us that it's not magic, we have responsibility, and consequences happen.

We're back on track, now. Yes we are.

  12. It's hard not to get down on yourself when you have a gain. I should know, I gained nearly 20 lbs of a 45 lb loss back. I'm back in the game, but disappointed that I have to lose weight that I had already lost once before. Hopefully it will make me more determined than ever to not repeat this again. I know I can do this....and so can you! Chin up and make the right choices!
