168.8 lbs (What happened to my arm?)
A loss! I'm doing the happy dance! Yes, it's a .8 lb loss. I figured Why not count every little bit since it's pretty slow going around here? Slow as it may be, I am very happy, or perhaps content is a better word, with the rate I am losing. I know that this is doable.
Many days I am tempted to go crazy with calorie counting, look for other options, etc. but then I settle down and remember that this is just my life. I know I am eating a healthy and balanced diet. I am exercising regularly. This feels right. So what if I'm not losing 2 or 3 lbs a week anymore? What's another year or two of losing going to hurt me? I have the rest of my life to maintain.
Thought of the day:
Change is not an event, it is a process. Trust me on that.

Did 30 minutes of cross-training by walking uphill with a 55 lb son on my back. Good times:)
Had a wonderful Valentines Day complete with flowers.
Tied an apron in the front as I cooked soup this weekend. I've always wanted to be able to tie my apron in front like Giada. Now if I could just get my boobs balanced and perky Italian pasta names down. Gosh.
Keelie, 168.8 is more than 0.8 lost, isn't it? Didn't you weigh 171.something last week?
ReplyDeleteSo, let's say it was 171 even (since I can't remember the tenth), that;s at least 2.2 pounds. Right? Or are you weighing in mre than once a week? Or am I just delusional?

I think you've said in the past that you are a biggest loser watcher. So I am sure that you may have already realized that your cross training with your son on your back is close to what you use to carry around on a daily basis!! Look at the weight lost and the strength gained!
ReplyDeleteI get the whole balanced and perky statement. Things are not what they use to be especially after 2 kids. I LOVE LOVE LOVE (will not wear anything else) Le Mystere bras. They are a bit pricey - around $70. But they make a HUGE difference. When I first started wearing them, friends thought I had lost weight simply because the girls were locked in and lifted. I think you can find them at bra specialty stores, Macy's and Dillard's.
Nice job Keelie! Don't you feel like you're just in a good place right now? Keep it up! I'm checking out the bras the previous poster mentioned - Thanks for posting that! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI have the boob problem too...
ReplyDeleteYou look so great in your photos and I love your smile. Congratulations on your cross training. It would be difficult to walk on flat ground for me with a 55lb'er strapped to my back let alone going up a hill. It does sound like a fun workout though. Especially if you're the 55lb'er.
ReplyDeleteWe've heard about your boobs..good times....LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great attitude. Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Keelie,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through Cupcakes Carrots and your journey is really inspiring!
The photos you have taken along the way are an excellent idea!
A few years back I lost about 16 kilos, is that about 35 pounds?! Anyway have put half of that back on and starting again on my diet this coming Monday.
I am now following you and look forward to hearing about the rest of your journey!
