Weigh In: 3.4 lb Loss

164.6 lbs

This loss hit me when I wasn't even looking! I've just been going along, minding my own business, and BAM--A huge loss for the week! I haven't lost more than 1-point-something in a very long time. It feels great. (Yes, even though I had gained 1-point-something the week before I am still celebrating it as a 3.4lb loss. Deb said I could...and should.)

As I was leaving my FP4H group last night I was kind of bragging on myself to a couple of gals that I know I can do that with :) and I was telling them that this doesn't really seem hard anymore. It's like I'm not even trying--its just happening. And they basically said "Yeah, because it's just your way of life now. It's your norm."

Sigh.

Isn't that a dreamy thought? Here's another thought that seems very simple and very obvious, but I challenge you to really let it sink it:

If you don't quit--you will get there.

That's the "secret" to success. Not quitting. Falling off course? Absolutely, it happens. Get back up. Keep on going until you fall off again. Get back up again. Yes. Keep GOING. No quitting. You will get there.

That's all there is to it.

I'm there!!! I've struggled to the past couple of months, but DID NOT GIVE UP!!! The scale is finally moving again. It's one of the most important lessons to learn in this journey. Thanks!!!

Be blessed!!!

That's terrific! Congratulations. Those are some big numbers for someone as small as you. Celebrating with you. You look great. :)

Haha! That Deb was right! You take blame for the gain, then you get to celebrate the loss. Congrats on that wonderful number!!!

And YOU are right, too. If we don't quit, we'll get this weight off.

I've been struggling since my surgery the end of November. Being under strict restrictions re: physical activity OVER THE HOLIDAYS was a baaaaad thing. And now that I have no excuse, well, I'm still struggling.

But not quitting! Your loss this week has put some wind in my sails! Happy for you...hopeful for us all.

Congrats on the loss! And thank you for the advice - sometimes a stall in weight loss can be so discouraging - but we just have to keep going!! Thank you for reminding me of that =) ...

I SO needed to read your post! I was having a really rough day yesterday ....I have been dieting since the new Year, and yesterday I just felt weary! I have lost 33 pounds and the only comments I have been receiving are "oh, I can tell a little in your face" Ahh!! Seriously! I have lost 33 pounds, and have gone down 3 pants sizes and you can just tell a little in my face! Sigh! Yes, I had a pity party for myself yesterday, but I am back on track today. Thanks for being such an encouragement!

Love it!

Remember when you were stuck (for what seemed like a long time, I'm sure) and your weightloss plateaued?

Look at you now! You didn't give in, give up or quit. You stayed with the program and are doing great.

Way to go, Keelie! Keep on keeping on.

Congrats! And I Love that way of thinking.. "If you don't quit - you will get there". Part of you wants to go welll duhhhhh but then you realize it's so true.

I said the same thing about eating right. It's sort of common knowledge but at the same time seems so difficult to practice. Thanks for always reminding us to celebrate our small weight loss as well as the big and to find positive in so much every day! ox

Way to go!!

I know that I have had to fight myself to keep going. Sometimes I just want to give up because it is so hard - but it is worth it.

How is your something extra going? I wasn't able to do it for a week due to surgery - but I am back on the bandwagon tonight!!
