You probably recognize these little party favors. They are called finger traps. Hollow on the inside, you stick your finger in both ends and then try to pull them out...but you can't! It's a trick! It's so much FUN! (Not really)
I was flabbergasted to recently find that I have my very own finger trap and it's conveniently located on my body. Lucky me!
It is my belly button, people. The skin, flab, fat mixture that is seeming to implode on the belly button as I lose more weight, has created this interesting suction. Gross, I know.
I can't wait to see what other forms of cheap entertainment my 2 year old can discover on me as the pounds come off.

Haha, I've got the same thing! Pre-baby, I had my belly button pierced. It was so cute. Then I gained 100 pounds... Yuck. I actually have stretch marks through the piercings. It looks beyond weird. As the weight disappears, I'm seeing the Chinese finger trap effect you mentioned. My munchkin, like yours, loves belly buttons, so I reckon I can't totally hate something that makes him smile. You seriously crack me up :)

Oh no! Those pesky 2 year olds can do some naughty things. My sis in laws 2 year old is convinced that every belly she sees is a "baby" and will point to anyone and say it! It has offended some people!
