Weigh In: 1.5 lb Loss

183.5

I will SO take it. After a weekend of less than stellar choices, this loss is a much undeserved gift. I know next week will be hard to get a good loss but I am going to try. I am SO close to the 170s and that is a great motivator for me.

If you've been reading you know that one of my goals is to catch up to my husband's weight. There's just one problem--every week that I lose, he is losing more! Yesterday he ate a bowl of cookies n' cream ice cream and washed it down with some potato chips (Yeah, HATE. HIM.) But seriously, when I asked him what on earth he was doing he replied, "I'm doing it for you, babe."

Isn't that sweet?

He weighs about 172 right now so in another month or so I should be able to catch him. Don't know why this is such a big deal for me, but it is.

NSVs for this week:

  • The infamous How to Dress Your Muffin jeans are totally falling off.
  • Wore high heels and cute dress (size L) to church on Mother's day
  • Keeping house clean seems like a regular thing now? We'll see...
  • Came up with a plan for getting serious and excited about that
  • Did some cartwheels yesterday :)

Yeah for cartwheels! I did one about 10 years ago and tore my hamstring. So much for trying to be fun and silly!

But guess what? I have CALF MUSCLES! Who woulda thought?! Yeah me! And yeah, you!

girl, you are ah-may-zing!!!!!
i was totally frustrated with my weight this morning, which seems to have gone up while i've eaten completely healthy all week, with low calorie intake and making sure that i'm taking in good calories. and then i see your post, and at first, i was annoyed, but then so motivated!
keep it going!!!!!

*i have a same complex about me vs/ my husband's weight. i always have to be at least 10 lbs less. the only exceptions are when he would return home from deployments or long TDYs... then i give him a few months to chunk back up, and we're back to him weighing 10 lbs more than me.

you look GREAT!! and i totally understand your feeling about keeping up with your husband... mine weighs more than me still, but has currently lost almost 40 pounds... and he'd STILL lose if he had that bowl of ice cream and potato chips... and that drives me CRAZY!! he has barely done anything different and the weight is just falling off him... meanwhile, i'm sweating from all the working out and GAINING! bastard :) anyways, congrats on the pants being too big... it's always nice to see the differences in your body by how clothes fit! did i mention you look great??

You are so beautiful!!! And I love your hair, so jealous! :) Congrats on the loss - hopefully hubby can give you a sec to catch up. :P Mine can lose weight just by thinking about exercise. Meh. Good luck, and keep it up!!

You are doing great! It was a huge deal for me too to weigh less than my hubby. I finally caught up to him and now he's wanting to lose weight too. So we are going back and forth between who weighs more. It's not too pretty, but he will have to stop way before I do. I keep having to catch him.

Great loss!! I totally relate to you. My husband is the same way. He can eat anything, hop on the scale and weigh LESS. drives me insane.

Keep up the fantastic work!!!

I definitely hear you about wanting to weigh less than your husband. My boyfriend weighs about 30 pounds more than me, however, we're the same height so I feel I need to weigh significantly less to try and look "petite" next to him. You know? I want to feel like he's the big strong man taking care of his little woman (wow that sounds silly, lol) and since he's not bigger height-wise, then he needs to be bigger size-wise(I don't mean heavier, just bigger in general). Lol. Whatever, my point is I know where you're coming from.

great loss, and what a good husband.
I hope you catch him soon. Mine was a bit easier...he's over 200 lbs.
I used to weigh 262 so when I passed him at 218 I was soooo happy. lol.
He's 6'4..if he was shorter I'd be in a world of hurt. lol.
