The Hangover

If I never see another tortilla chip in my life, that will be A-Okay. Let's take it from the top:

Friday April 23, 2010
7:00 am
1/2 c. yogurt, granola, banana, whole wheat English muffin, 2 tsp. peanut butter, coffee, water.

So far, so perfect.

11:00 am
Ham and Cheese on whole wheat with lettuce, tomato, pickles and 1 tsp mayo, 100 cal. bag popcorn, green apple

Great. And that's where the greatness ends.

3:30 pm
1 Sonic chicken strip, small fries

And let the poor choices roll...

4:00 pm
tortilla with peanut butter and honey. (did not measure)

6:00 pm
80 million greasy tortilla chips, apx. 1/2 c. queso, water (brief shining moment), brisket quesadillas???? (What in the HECK?) sour cream, guac, more chips, sopapilla, honey, butter.

Holy Mongolia! I am such a hypocritical, backsliding, moron. Oh wait, there's more...

10:00 pm
1 scoop cookies and cream Bluebell on a sugar cone

12:30 am
cop coaxes me and my fellow mommies from the Mommy and Me playgroup to leave the ice cream place patio which closed 2 hours prior. Whole other blog post...

6:30 am
alarm rings, time for FP4H workout at the church.

Oh. My. Lord. I feel like total and complete poo poo. The chips and nasty brisket quesadillas were SO not worth this!! SO not.

I have never had one but this has to be worse than an alcohol induced hangover. This is a tortilla chip/ice cream induced hangover. Much worse.

When I said "the choice is ours" yesterday, I bet you thought I would make the right ones, huh? So did I.

Ugh! *Kicking myself in the butt*

Ok Keelie, you know the drill...get up, brush yourself off and move on!

You are human and are expected to make little mistakes...no biggie.

Have a great weekend.

Yep, we have all been there. Somehow tortilla chips were placed in my mouth yesterday too!

Just think, with all those extra calories, you should have no problem eating lighter today!

yep...I'm doing a fruits and veggie only day. green apple for breakfast, V8 for lunch and dinner. I gotta get the scale moving this week.

As a person that loves food, I find I always can't eat healthy because the more I forbid it, the more I want it. I allow myself to eat my yummy foods on the weekend and then go back to my regularly scheduled program on Monday.

Nice to know I'm not the only one that when we fall of the wagon, we roll around in the dirt too! LOL. Meaning I can't just slip up with something small, it has to be a feast! So aggravating!

I can totally understand tortilla chips as the culprit! They can be my undoing as well.

You've done so well though, you'll jump back on the wagon again. :-)

NEVER heard of brisket quesadillas. None sure if that sounds good or not! lol.

i'm thinking YESTERDAY was a holiday for that.

it's like on the office where all the women are in a meeting, and dwight says, "don't let them all stay in there together; they'll get on the same cycle."

i read like two other blog updates yesterday where people ate a lot more than usual. i have to say, it was a consolation to me considering the confession i myself need to update on regarding eating and emotions yesterday.

God bless!

Today's a new day! You're doing fantastic....a blip that you really felt. You need to blog or write it down personally the actual physical discomfort and grossness that you're feeling (bloating, gas....greasy skin, whatever) so that next time temptation lurks you can refer back to that 'feeling'.

I find that if I have one nibble or taste then it's goodnight for me - I'll binge on badness. If I don't have a taste at all, I'm fine.

Sometimes you have to take breaks when you're running a marathon. But then you just keep on running. Don't feel guilty about the night of unhealthy food. You're doing awesome.

The alcoholic hangover not only makes you feel disgusting, but the shame and remorse make it worse. You hit it right on the head. Sigh. Keep on keepin' on, girl. I did upper body weights for the first time today and I could hardly drive home, my arms were shaking so much. So much that I couldn't even shovel in the leftover lasagna. It might be a good thing...

I have a long list of regrets I could share from the past few days - eating wise! UGH, It does not feel good. You can do this though!! You are doing so well and looking awesome. I will be sharing much about my eating, exercise, and lack there of very soon. I moved today, and I am READY to get it together again. Remember: YOU INSPIRE ME! We learn from our rough moments.

I think that hangover is worse than an alcohol induced one too. I ate a cheeseburger the other week and was miserable for the next 36 hours. That said, I have to allow myself small cheats on the weekends or I can't stick during the week.

Don't beat yourself up. Just dust off and move on up. You're too good to have an emotional backslide on top of a dietary one. I'm rooting for you!

I had to laugh because I had brisket tacos tonight. At least I split them with a friend so I only had 1 1/2 and no beans or rice. Now the chips.....I didn't share and my stomach is letting me know about it. Just think...what's done is done and now it's a new day and a new time to start fresh. You can do it this week!
