Weigh In: .5 lb Gain

187.5 lbs

I never wanted to have to report a gain, but here we are. I am up but still hovering very closely to the 187 mark. This is totally a psychological bridge I am trying to cross, and once I do everything will be fine.

I remember experiencing the same thing before when I got to the lowest weight I had been in a really long time. I began sabotaging myself. That has been put to a stop.I just need to get back into my rhythm. I'm not worried and I'm not down or anything. I feel great!

NSVs
  • Lowest ever blood pressure reading this week!! 118/65
  • Exercised EVERY single day this past week
  • Got the entire house in order and feeling great about that!
  • 14.5 miles total for the week (combination of walk/jog/bike)
  • Had a family picture taken that I didn't shudder to look at!

Because I chose to eat like a fool over the weekend, just take a look at what I had to give up yesterday:

My very favorite chocolate cake in the whole world! (and it was still warm)

Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream...Dear Lord--when will I learn?
I will leave you with some beautiful images from my evening walk yesterday.

The view from our backyard

On my route..

I've been in sabotage mode since I STARTED. I just realized it last Thursday. But somehow that didn't stop me from getting fries at the cafeteria to go with my salad today. Sigh. But it wasn't fries and chicken strips and throw the salad away. That's progress.

Hey Keelie,
It's a process. There will be ups, there will be downs. I'm glad you're choosing to focus on the positives on your list (and there are many!) I too am jealous of your house being in order. I think I'll have a party when we accomplish that here! :)

Enjoy the beauty around you. I love your family photo. You guys look great!

Super cute family photo. I think you said the biggest NSV- even though the scale was up slightly you are not feeling worried or down. That's the key to long term success! And I know you will obtain it!!

Weight gains can be discouraging for sure but I love your list of NSV. There's always something positive that can be taken from every situation.

Hi Keelie, I am so so so glad to have found your blog! You are an inspiration!! I'm just starting to really get committed to weight loss at 189 two weeks ago..183 today. I started a weight loss support blog which has taken off like a rocket. I guess I wasn't the only one struggling. :o) But I'm shorter than you. 5'2. I'm going to feature you on our weight loss blog...It's Texan style, Gettin' Thin Together. :o) If you drop by to visit, you will know it's us by the header with my big fat chickens racing across the yard...one right after the other. Honestly, they look like they are all jogging which is hilarious.

This blog is one where we all have 'posting' rights, we can write anything we like because I make everyone a contributor.

Since we are just getting started, I really think they need to hear from someone like you who has been working at this so faithfully and taken photos along the way. Great idea!

I was so discouraged last week because I gained 3 and then lost 3 but either way that was a Zero net loss. But this week, I've already dropped 3 again. I've really gotten serious about what I eat instead of saying it doesn't matter. Not eating junk food has really had amazing effect! But I do love it...like you say. Wow, homemade Vanilla icecream..I would absolutely NEVER pass that up!

I forgot to mention that I found you on Texas Blogging Gals of which I am a proud member. :o) My blog is a Texan Style homemaking blog,Comin' Home, but the address for Gettin' Thin Together is www.gettinthintogether.blogspot.com.

I'd love to have you post a Howdy to us and tell us a little bit of your story!
