Photos Never Lie

You know when it is okay to see yourself in a picture like this?

When you don't look that way anymore!

Today my mom was looking through some pictures from last summer. She handed the camera to me and said there were a couple of "interesting" pictures of me on there. I knew what was coming and I was actually excited, believe it or not. I love the comparisons...

I always tried to avoid the camera, as I'm sure most overweight people do. Or we try to strategically place items in front of the belly (throw pillow anyone?) Yeah, well...whatever methods we try, they usually don't work. As I've said before--the camera doesn't lie.

I am thankful for these remiders of where I've been--and where I never want to return.

Love your blog Keelie! I am 5'4" and was exactly 229 when I began this weight loss journey. I wish I had more photos of myself from before as I still don't see the difference when I look in the mirror, even after losing 33 lbs. Never thought I'd say that as I avoided the camera like the plague!

I am so inspired by the photos you post of your past and present.

Thank you!

It's true; you really look like another person entirely. If it weren't for the hair color, I'd be wondering who you were.

Ditto. I like looking at before pictures. I still can't believe I looked like that sometimes. It's neat to see the difference. You look great.

I've never posted before but I am an avid follower (not in a creepy way). Your comparison pictures are amazing and I would never guess it was the same person in those photos. You have done a great job and I think you are the cutest, most vivacious and healthy looking woman. Again, not in a creepy way, just a reader giving you props and letting you know you are truly inspirational and dynamic.

Your transformation is just phenomenal, Keelie. I am always so inspired by reading your posts. I've been having a crappy day and was eager to get home, have a nice bath and read...maybe break down and have pizza for dinner. After seeing this I'm inspired to work hard towards my own 'after' pictures. I'm going to head to the treadmill - commit to at least 30 minutes.
Love you!

Keep up the great work girl! I always hated getting my picture taken and I keep reminding myself right now that I'll want to look back at these pictures one day and see how far I've come. Thank you for that reminder. You look amazing! ox
