Weigh In: Maintenance

So I'm not very good at predicting. Still weighing in at 179 lbs. I don't really know what happened here. I ate really well this week and did some significant exercise 5 out of the past 6 days. Hmm.

Oh well, maybe next week will show it.

In the mean time, I am going to enjoy my best buy of the decade. I purchased a name brand running skirt for $4.95 last night!! What an amazing deal. I've been wanting one of these but I never thought it would look even remotely close to okay on me. But I tried it on and you know what they say --

If the skirt fits...
ROCK it!

Last night we went on a date. (That's when I got the skirt) I'm sure we've been on one since March, but March was the last time I took a picture of myself on a date. Check out the difference:
March

Now

The differences are subtle, but they're there! I remember how much I loved those pictures I took in March when I went on a Hot Date and now I feel like I look even better and *brighter.*It is so cool to see positive changes.

Not going to let the scale get me down! No sir. There is too much to celebrate.

You are so cute!! I love it!!

I'm so down about the scale these days. I'm doing what i should be doing. I know the weight will come off eventually, but NOW would be great! :)

hahaha. The difference is not so subtle! You look amazing.

Ummmm. What's a running skirt? does it have shorts attached or is it just stretchy material that lets your legs move freer? So embarrassed to have to ask....

Deb--They are awesome. Yes, shorts like biker shorts underneath a stretchy skirt. I like it because it covers up the crotch area that likes to eat the shorts when you are walking/running. Sorry for that horrible visual.

Keelie - there are huge differences in the photos, though you look terrific in both. Happy to be going on a date.

I love the idea of the running skirt. I am going to go check them out as well.

Thanks for the motivation.

Oh most definitely too much to celebrate.

You look so much younger. Wow...isn't it amazing how much younger people look when they lose weight. Boy...people already think I look like I'm in my twentys...yeah, they carded me the other day at the store when I was buying a bottle of wine. Boy...they were floored when I told them I'm turning 40 in December. ha ha SO when this weight comes off...I guess they'll think I'm 14. That would be somewhat awesome...i guess. ha ha.

I think you look fabulous! :)

Good going Keelie, 5 out of 6 days exercising is awesome and I am pretty sure you'll see an awesome big jump DOWN next week! Keep rockin' it!!

I would not say subtle at all. Awesome!! Great job! That is one amazing find for the skirt. You'll have to post how it is running in it. I would think that extra material would bug me like it was extra weight to carry around. You are rockin' it!

You look amazing! Glad you're not letting the scale overshadow your accomplishments. :)

You can definitely see the difference in your face. Congrats! You're doing great. :)

Don't ever let the scales get you down. They lie. Lie, lie, lie. Or, at least, only tell partial truths. I've ditched the scales (almost) completely this time round. They just discourage me. I can work out and eat well and *feel* great, but when the scales don't reflect that change, I used to get down on myself. Now, if I am eating well and exercising and feeling great, I'm going to take that as me doing a good job. If I feel good, I don't care what the scales say.

And I'm totally jealous of that great skirt find!

There are definite differences in these photos...photo journalling has got to be one of the very best things to do on a weight loss trek.
Congratulations!!
