Weigh In : 4 lb. Gain

Lackadaisical.

That's my problem. Anyone who read yesterday's post about getting the new car smell back might have seen this coming. I didn't.

I knew that I had not used my food tracker in an entire week. I missed a lot of my Bible study. I didn't do much exercise other than the 5K. I did eat some chocolate chip cookies. But 4 pounds? Seriously?

Can we just pretend last week didn't happen? Unfortunately, I know the answer to that. Fortunately, I know what I have to do and I have no problem doing it. Back to the grindstone. Back to planning and sweating and resisting and ABIDING.

NSV's
  • I joined a new gym! I'm headed there now for the first time and will give a report when I get back. Never in my life did I imagine that I would be so excited about working out!
  • Running in another 5K this weekend. Never in my life did I imagine I would be excited to run in a race!
  • I know it's silly but I was kind of excited to see there are over 300 readers of this blog! Never in my life did I think I would be sharing this adventure with that many people! I wouldn't change it for anything.

Okay--off to get my new car smell on!

I've been hoovering at my weight for several months now. I took off the first 7 lbs. And my goal is 7 lbs away. (The first goal. The one where I get to wear a running skirt.) So, I've really been taking a look at what I'm eating. Yesterday started off with a bang, but the white bread, peanut butter and velveeta chees (my ultimate comfort food) was beckoning. Dang roommates and their bad food.

Hahha!

I'm up about 4 as well :-( I am 7 stinking pounds away from a mini goal of mine to get under 200lbs! I haven't been to onederland in a really long time! But I did have a NSV...I bought shorts for the first time in forever, and they are a size 16! I started out at a 20-22.

Getting up and continuing on ward sets you apart from those who take a break and then don't continue.

Every day is a new day!

Even with a gain you are so inspiring :) I can already tell it won't knock you down. You are doing really great! Oh, and I LOVE your 'New Car Smell' post, btw.

I think that is a great list of NSV's. Isn't it odd how hard we have to work to shed weight but when we waver just a bit on eating or exercise the weight can come back quick? Frustrating for sure. Keep at it, get back to food tracking if you think it will help, it helps me. Go gett'em!

Hold on! It can't be "real weight", not of all it at least. If you get back to working out, you'll probably see a super-loss next week! :)
Seriously though, are you always so nice and good-humoured and funny even after a disappointing weigh-in? You must be an alien. :)

Sorry about the 4 lb gain, but it's only a little hiccup. You can do this! You keep me motivated!

Just be thankful for the NSVs and take it from there. How fun to join a new gym. I get all excited when I find a new workout to do. :)

Maybe it's just water retention? Praise God for new days!

Over the last two weeks I have gained a total of 6 pounds!! Just me being lazy, not tracking, not paying attention, not exercising etc. But, I'm back on track now.
Good for you for all of your NSV's!!! You are very inspiring.
God is so good, and I'm glad that He led me to your blog :)
Keep up the great work!

I have picked up Zumba class, its super fun and you can find just about every type of person in it. Let me know when you have a free morning and we can go. I always have to find new ways to motivate myself to workout, I get bored real easy.
