3 Pics and Jury Duty

Football season is about to start. You know I live in Texas, right? Yeah. Kind of a big deal here. Especially when your dad is a coach! For most of my life dad has been coaching high school football and he has even coached at the college level for a couple of years. It is always fun to go to his games.

This is the shirt I will be sporting at some of the warm-weather games. Mind you, in no less than 2 months we could be sitting in 30 degree temps at which point I will show you THAT football outfit. No kidding. SNOW. In October. It could happen--it HAS happened! And I will be cute for it. Go Tigers!

This was the breathtaking photo I captured the other night as I was preparing to run on the high school cross country course. That was a fun change of pace. I really encourage you to get outside and exercise! It is wonderful! Sweat is not the enemy--remember that!

As summer is drawing to a close, I thought I would share the swimsuit before and after. The before was taken this past winter as I was cleaning out drawers. I am approximately 40 pounds lighter in the "after." Not bad, not bad at all. If any REAL FAT newcomers want to hear my southern accent (some people are amazed and/or entertained by this--I don't think it's that noticeable) you can watch this vlog I did back in February when I put on the swimsuit.

In non-weight related news, I served on my first jury today. It was incredible! We also finished today so I can talk about it now. If you have never served on one and are trying to avoid it--don't! I am so glad I was picked. It was educational, fascinating and fulfilling. I told a friend that I felt very American-y serving as a juror.

Ummmm.... WOOOOW!!! And I've never seen you vlog, you are so cute! I can tell we would be the best of friends! :) LOVE the accent! Oh and I've been meaning to tell you, I love your play list. I mean really, I love it. When I sit down to blog, I will pull up your blog first and then leave it up as I look at other peoples blogs. So you can never change it! ;)

Football, yes, it is oh so near - Go Bears! And amen to that swim suit, you have got it looking good - Not bad, not bad at all, as you say. Listened yo your vlog, got a chuckle out of someone refering to you as Britney Spears... I didn't get that. But I did get a nice insight into you genuine desire for achieving that image of yourself when you've reached your goal. Enjoy sitting on the beach with your husband this fall :-)

Stay Optimistic!

Wow-wee!! You look great! You know when I see this picture of you I really do sometimes think....what more do you have to lose. But I know what you mean....You want to feel totally comfortable in your skin. I have friends who look at me rather strange when I tell them I have to lose 40 pounds... They think I look just fine that way I look. Little do they know how uncomfortable I feel and how many rolls I have. Yuck!!

Hey you are too cute!! I've seen another one of your vlogs before so I have heard the accent. It isn't that Southern, but can definitely hear the twang. ha ha

Nice suit pics!!! You look great. :)

I just got done with jury duty a month ago and I thought I was being very American-y. Then I found out the trial would be three weeks and involved crimes against a child (actually two children). No fun!! :(

Awesome pictures! And vute vlog. That was cute. Amazing difference that 40 pounds can make. Great job! I took a pic of me at the lake we just went to. I want to compare it to one I will do next year there.

I didn't realize it was the same suit either!! Goodness, you have done so much. From the vlog (your accent ain't nothin compared to the local ladies here in GA, by the way!) what I notice most is your face. You have an entirely different face now. Does your husband wonder where his wife went?

I seriously just analyzed this swimsuit thinking you had a different one on. I kept comparing the prints. Haha! You LOOK amazing! You are doing GREAT and it shows!

LOVE the sunset! Just love it! Great photo!

See you tomorrow night for C25K! Yikes! :-)

You DO have a southern twang when you talk! (This is coming from a northern Canadian...we don't have Southern twangs here so when I hear them they are very noticeable!)

You look great, but I think it's time for a new swimsuit!! I think you deserve it after all your hard work. Something more sleek and modern would look great on you. I'm a redhead, too, and I love to wear dark swimsuits (purple and black are my fave).

Have fun with football!
