Weigh In: 4.5 lb. Loss

195 lbs.

Holy Cow! I can't believe I lost 4.5 pounds this week! I am super excited. The only thing I can think of that I did differently was change up my workouts. I mentioned the other day that I did 10 min. intervals of cardio and strength for 40 minutes. Normally I run for a mile or two and then go to strength. I guess keeping the HR up for 40 minutes straight made the difference.

The other thing I was thinking is that the two weeks before this one I only had 1.5 lb losses. In the past that would have discouraged me and I would have resorted to the most illogical practice of eating everything in sight since I wasn't seeing results. Well look what kind of results I see when I persist! Dang it, what a fool I've been!

Updated Progress Pictures:

These pics are what keep me going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NSVs

  • Fit into a (wrongly) sized 12 pair of pants. Nevertheless they were 12s and they zipped up. I have not been able to wear them in 2 years.
  • Wore true athletic shorts for the first time in I don't KNOW how long.
  • People (who aren't family or reading this blog) are beginning to notice :)

This week is going to be huge. HUGE! I found my old Weight Watcher weigh in card from the last time I was doing it, right before I got pregnant with my Glory, and the lowest number on there is 193.8. I am bound to break that this week. As proud as I am of what I have accomplished so far, once I get to this milestone I will feel like the real journey can finally begin! So far I have been playing catch up, you know?

However, the exercise, which I have never done to this extent or commitment level, is really making my 195 body today look much different than my 195 body two years ago. It is truly remarkable. I hate exercise but I love what it does for my body.

Okay, enough jabbering from me today. Later.

Totally agree about the exercise. I SO do not want to deal with it today, but I am off to the gym right now, and then home to my weight bench. But, I am getting to the point that I enjoy while I am doing it! Gratz on the loss and GL on your goal this week!

There's nothing better on this journey than sailing into unchartered waters, to blow past the lowest weight you can remember in forever and to just keep sailing.

You're doing fantastic!

And don't get too excited about me leaving a comment here. I have my butler put on my pants one leg at a time, just like you...
