Old, New, Borrowed & Blue

Old: Running.
It's really not "old" to me yet, but I'm afraid that will happen. So I decided to add something new to my working out regimen.

New: Biking!
Haven't tried it in a while. The last time I did I couldn't make it up the hill right outside my house. Today I made it! But it hurt. Oh, wow. My legs and arms are still shaky. Great feeling to try something new. I am going to try biking on my cross days for the half marathon training. Last year I walked on those days. I am toying with the idea of a TRIATHLON!!! in July...so we'll see.

Borrowed: Headphones!
I couldn't find my ear buds so I borrowed my daughter's pink old-school headphones. They worked like a charm! And I think they are pretty darn cute, too.

Blue: Bike!
This was the cheapest bike we could find at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago when I decided I wanted to start riding a bike. I'm sure this is absolutely NOT what I should be riding, as I know absolutely nothing when it comes to bikes, but this is what I got. So ride it I will.

That is so great. When you absolutely have to get back to working out and having fun, you use the bridal tradition to make it happen. You look great!

Have fun on your bike ride. Sounds like fun. I should pick up one from craigslist.

Way to go! I've been bike riding the last few Saturdays - and after the first two, I found out that it's much easier to do when your tire's not flat! ;)

That's great! I work up a great sweat when I'm on the spin bike at the gym. It's my new favorite! Keep up the good work!

I made the investment of a road bike last fall and I love going out on rides in the neighborhood, it's a great workout and not has hard on the joints. One word of advice... you need a helmet!!
